He was offered £30 a day for the job. Dan agreed and thus became a production assistant. He worked as a runner on the set of ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,’ a 1998 British–American crime-comedy film directed by Guy. Dan again assisted the director in the production of the 2000 British crime-comedy film ‘Snatch.’ He was cast as ‘Dazzer’ in the 2002 British drama film ‘Morvern Callar.’

In 2004, Dan was the writer of the movie ‘Dancestar USA 2004.’ He has worked on a few projects with singer Madonna. He was the second unit director for the 2005 documentary ‘I’m Going to Tell You a Secret,’ starring Madonna.
